Have what you want now….

I used to be unsure about what to do with my life when I was at college – only that it wasn’t what I had back then! I didn’t know where to turn – I tried everything – reading personal development books, going on coursesand listening to tapes

But it was only when I learned about NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) by attending an NLP Practitioner training, that I learned the skills that really made the difference in my life.

Since then I have seen thousands of people put these principles into practice and entirely transform their lives. commonly respond in one of three ways when they hear the term NLP – ‘NL…what?!?’ or ‘That sounds like mumbo jumbo…!’ or ‘NLP is great!’.

The last response is usually from someone who has learned it properly and taken action on it. Because the techniques and principles in NLP really work – as long as you put it into practice.

The following steps are probably the most powerful guidelines that anyone can follow to achieve success in any area of life. In fact, if you put these into practice, you’ll pretty much secure that you’ll achieve great results – whether in sports, academic subjects or even web marketing!

So what are these steps….

1 – Know your goal – what do you want? Be really clear about this – nothing ‘fluffy’ like ‘I want to be wealthier’ – be specific – how much wealth do you want and when do you want it? What specific weight do you want to be and when?

Also make sure you state your outcome positively – say what you want, not what you don’t want. Its fine to know what you don’t want, but most importantly you have to know what you want , and that comes with knowing what you DO want.

2 – Do it now! – sounds obvious, but many people never do it! In fact, some personal development programs never stress taking action enough, but it is crucial if you want to get results. What can you do instantly towards achieving your outcome – and take action on it. Make sure each step is doable.

3 – Sensory Acuity – you need to know whether your actions get you nearer to your outcome or further away. Many of our greatest learnings come from when things don’t go totally the way we wanted. We need to notice our results and take action to get better results next time.

4 – Change what you do until you get your outcome – if the action you are taking doesn’t get you closer to your outcome, do something different. If that doesn’t work either, Change again . Basically, keep changing what you do until you get the results you want.

Results start in your mind

Maybe you’ve experienced that occasionally we will do excellent in a situation and other times we perform completely medium, but we don’t absolutely know why?

It all comes down to the emotional state we’re in . When we feel brilliant we perform well – when we don’t we get in truth average results.

And a major factor in our state may be distortion.

This is wherever we give import to an experience that may not absolutely have that meaning. For example, it is a little while ago we had a visit in our home from a group of mice . We would commonly hear then running around in the area above us in the middle of night. The first time we heard the noise, we didn’t have any clue what it was. Getting up in the middle of the night I heard this strange noise as they must have been racing across the floor above us. Our cats must have dealt with the mice problem , because some days subsequently there was no sign of any rodents except for the occasional carcass the cats would kindly donate to us. However , a short time after this incident, I was resting in the living room, and I glimpsed, I was sure that I noticed a rodent running along the floor. But on looking around there was no sign of any mice , nor anywhere it can have hidden , so I must have distorted the experience in my mind due to my prior experience. So that’s what happens  – past events frequently influence us to distort present experience. If it’s the case that I had a bad experience in a job hearing, then in the future if I went into a job meeting and the interviewer stares at me intensely, I will distort the event as meaning they didn’t like me. Strangely, somoeone else may interpret staring as the individual liking you.

it’s important about this that whatever way you represent an experience to yourself leads to the way you feel and subsequently behave.

 

So how could you program yourself for fantabulous results – quit staying ok!

Here are some keys to program yourself for good results

So the secrets for success from NLP – the first thing is you might train yourself to stop deleting your positive experiences. changing thought patterns might take effort and consistent practice is essential. By keeping a daily journal and following these principles , that is how you might programme your brain for successful mull over ing. I recommend doing this at the end of the day – maybe on the way home from work , or preceeding you go to bed at night

Step 1:

Write down in your journal 3   somethings that you did well today

Step 2:

Write down 3   somethings you will improve on tomorrow

Step 3

Write down what you will do tomorrow to make these improvements – write down quite specific actions and behaviours which may make the difference to be brilliant .

Step 4

At the end of the day make an action plan for personal and professional big pictures for the following day – be specific and make sure you go over the list prior to you go to sleep.

Associations bring about assimilation. Birds of a feather flock together. I’m sure you’ve heard these sayings at least once in your life. But, have you ever considered what they mean in relation to the levels of health, wealth, and happiness you have in your life?

Jim Rohn, America’s foremost business philosopher, was famous for saying, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” Think about the five people you spend the most time with…do you all enjoy the same things? Do you all have the same level of happiness? Even if you are in different careers, do you all have just about the same level of income? Do you all read the same types of books or watch the same television shows? Are your relationships with your significant others similar? Chances are, you answered “yes” to most of those questions.

That?s because your experiences and environment shape your beliefs, thoughts, actions, habits, and character.

Evaluate your top five relationships and ask yourself, ?Do I want the same level of health, wealth, and happiness as my friends??

If your relationships are not providing the support and challenge you need to achieve the levels of success you desire in your life, then it may be time for you to make some changes. Here are three choices you can make in your current relationships:

Say Goodbye. This is a tough decision. It should not be taken lightly. You will have to seek wise counsel and pray about this decision.

Place Boundaries. There are some relationships you won?t want to let go of. And, you don?t have to. However, you will want to place some boundaries in these relationships.

Upgrade. Begin to enhance and expand your relationships with positive and successful people. Make it a priority to spend the majority of your time with people who are excelling in various areas of life (health, wealth, relationships, spiritual growth, etc.).

Challenge Yourself This Week:

Focus on expanding your positive relationships. Spend at least 2 hours this week in the company of people who challenge you to stretch and operate in excellence. This could mean attending a personal development seminar, going to a new Bible study class, taking your mentor to lunch, or attending the monthly meeting of your professional association.
