Maria Bamford portrays an interesting enough character. Definitely not like most other woman comedians. Vioguy, you dont actually believe that all comedians spit you the truth, do you? My boyfriend does stand up and has bits about things that if they were true, we would definitely not be together. Maybe some bits are true stories, but most comedians definitely are not comedy routines in their daily life. That’s why they call them ‘characters’.

What she said in this video is not just funny (in my opinion, that’s her being serious), the void or hole inside her is the need for people to approve of her and the way she achieves that is by making people laugh; thus, filling the hole as she makes people laugh. She would be able to train a dog but only if she stayed on her depression meds and her “void” had something to do with working with dogs. Simple.

I stayed up late …
I stayed up late one night making Christmas cards with stensils and glitter and glue. I don’t know if it was the Christmas spirit or the vapours from the glue but the hours just drifted by in a happy haze of holly stensils and glitter. For me that is real success! So off and die!

This man, if he is so down on his luck, has made several major mistakes along the way. He either needs to make a drastic change to his routine or quit
