Tips for Self Motivation?

By Self Help Guru On September 22, 2009 Under Self Help Tips

Welcome back!

I need some motivation to do the daily chores of my life at the moment.

I want to go to the gym, but, when I go home after work in the evening, I don’t feel like. I cook, and eat alot, watch DVDs, and go to bed. That’s all I do.

I got so many exams coming up (one next Friday); I can go to a library, but don’t feel like doing that either.

At work, all I do is just char with my co-workers and doing nothing.
The next-door co-worker in the office just chats with me, a lot. I shout and jump around, without doing much. I hate this. I feel so guilty at the end of the day, thinking that I didn’d do much for the company.

How can I overcome this misery?

Please can anyone give me some guidance?

*Im getting obese day by day; last year I had a nice body, by going to the gym, I aimed at my sister’s wedding, wanted to get back in shape. But now I don’t have any aim to slim down for. I feel slimming down is a fashion statement for stupid high class women.

Am I wrong? please help me to overcome these problems.

Thanks my friends.

What I noticed right away is that the reasons you’ve been motivated to lose weight before were external factors (ie: your sister’s wedding)

The only true way to be successful at anything is to make sure that your reasons for doing something are coming from within, not from the external world.

Example:
Wanting to become a doctor because of a strong desire to help people, as opposed to making your parents happy.

Wanting to lose weight because you truly want to be healthy, not because external factors are pressuring you to do so.

Good Luck
