Self motivation in school?

By Self Help Guru On September 22, 2009 Under Self Help Tips

Hello, I’m Kathy. I’m only 13, 14 in November. But I’ve been very slack and lazy since I started Secondary school. My attendance is around 85%, which, in my eyes is pretty appalling. I’ve been acting sick, which I feel truly ashamed of. At primary school, my standards were very high, but now I just can’t stop being lazy. I’m not naughty, I’d never misbehave or be rude to a teacher. However my work is of a low standard, and my punctuality is bad. It’s an ambition of mine to become a police officer, I’d love to make it into CID! To achieve that though I need to have good attendance and punctuality, good grades in most subjects. Do you have any tips to help me motivate myself before the Summer holidays end? Thank you.

Try and get involved in the lessons. Rather than be a bystander, time will pass quicker and you will enjoy a lot more of it. Teachers wil lbe nice to you and this’ll make it better,
(teachers prefer a tryer to a know it all- as it shows them they can make a difference – as sometimes it can be hard to see.
Also, the first step is realising there is a problem , well done u.

Aww sweetie don’t be ditching school, pretending your sick.

School is really fun, believe it or not, it’s just you who decides that.
Get motivated by joining clubs, meet new people.
Don’t be a home couch potato.
School goes by fast so I’d make the best of it.

Btw, at my school if you get grades over 80% your on the honor roll and you get a cool pin, people who are on the honor roll at my school tend to be popular.

HAVE FUN AT SCHOOL, BETTER THAN STAYING AT HOME DOING YOUR USUAL.
