psychology & psychiatry are the same thing. The only difference is that a Psychiatrist has to go to medical school for they can prescribe Anit-depressents and other mind altering prescriptions.
Psycologists can not.

by help i mean to understand the ourself, others, kids, etc for better life.
for example, my friend used to be anxious and depressed, since i did not know about it, i used to think him as a weird person. If i knew him, i could have behaved more nicely to him.
Both are based on Psychology subject only. But for personal development one should go to psychology Science . Here I would like to clarify that Psychology is the subject and science. But Psychiatry is a treatment given to the patients . Hope you will understand the difference between two., One you can study and other you can get treatment.,
