Awesome video!!!! …
Awesome video!!!! Thank you!!! I needed this at this point in my life. Too much negativity around me. It’s too easy to forget that we all have control over ourselves.

@EraTomo Thank you …
@EraTomo Thank you so much for hearing and acknowledging my points. This bothers me (the vid) because she uses impressive words and language. People will readily accept the content based largely on that. This can be harmful in society on a larger scale. Emotionally satisfying options for problems can distract from scientifically backed ones. That can cost valuable time. This applies to wide and varied claims. Thinking critically is VERY important in this day of free enterprise.

I understand. In …
I understand. In order for any psychological theory to have merit it must also have scientific proof, and this is a theory that is pretty hard to prove, and even if you did an experiment it would be hard to isolate the variable when it could also be another factor.

@EraTomo Again. …
@EraTomo Again. That is fine and all. She is crossing a line though, assigning attributes to the minds plausible functionally and influence. I don’t think this even approaches a credible hypothesis. It’s more like wishful science fiction. There is no pragmatic,empirical research to back the notion. Plausibility is required in order to be compelling. A mechanism would be a good start.

It isn’t good to …
It isn’t good to ignore the issues in the world, because you still have the ability to accept the negative issues and search for ways to change them into positives, like by helping someone.

The negative thoughts she’s talking about rejecting are ones more along the lines of “I’m stupid so I will go nowhere” or “Only rich people are successful” or “I don’t have any talent in ____”. It’s better not to find those true.

I think the …
I think the difference here is, while “Do not walk down Fayette street at night unarmed” is technically a negative thought, it is actually positive because it benefits you via you not getting mugged.

Likewise it isn’t good to ignore the issues in the world, because you still have the ability to accept the negative issues and search for ways to change them into positive issues, like by helping someone.

Accepting what is …
Accepting what is true and what is true in reality are two different things. This all sounds wonderful but is terribly flawed. In other words, a load of crap.

I just made an idea …
I just made an idea that I am going to meet you tomorrow and we will live happily ever after.

I feel much better now.

What? I might get dissapointed? no,no,no… dissapointment does not exist. I just reject such thoughts.

Thankfully anger does not exist so I dont have to become angry for not meeting you yet.

hmm.. interesting, I am trying to make a sarcastic point, but it is losing logic. I guess you are right afterall…(me confused)

How can I deny …
How can I deny negative ideas if I know that they are true? Ignorance might be bliss but it causes you other harm, like being ripped off, taken advantage of, or otherwise exploited. There are some seemingly negative ideas that are helpful. Such as don’t walk down Fayette street at night (unarmed) because there are a lot of crazy despreate crack heads who will potentialy mug you. I know that is true, I’ve seen them in action many times before.

I want to remind …
I want to remind you how bad ignorance is: you can’t escape death by not thinking about death, you only can escape FEAR of death by not thinking about death.. But you can also think about death without fear, without judging, without pity, or sorrow. Then the idea of fear makes you strong, because you know that you are temporary here. So then you don’t have time for negative emototions, judging, beeing week, because it takes time from being happy. You have to open your eyes. Ignorance is bad. 🙂

Great video even …
Great video even though I think it is not completed . Just want to add some comments to make it even better. 1) Cleaning the mind from “negative” thoughts must not become IGNORANCE.
2) Not every unpleasant thought is “negative”. And not every pleasant thought is “positive”‘. What really makes our thoughts “negative”(= unpleasant) , are just our own emotions.
3) That’s why we have to learn to control our own emotions, in purpose to make pleasant any thought that comes to our mind.

Thanks Simona!!!! …
Thanks Simona!!!! From this day forward I am going to a concious observer and always ask myself “Would this idea, image or opinion benefit my life or worsen it?” If it does, I lovinly accept it……If it doesn’t, I will still send love to it, look for a lesson of understanding and acceptance and disconnect myself from it…………

Thank you for your inspirational video!!

Keep them up!
