A Bottle of Self Confidence Would Make the World a Better Place for All of Us

By Self Help Guru On September 24, 2009 Under Improve Your Self Esteem

Many experts and professionals would agree that the lack of self confidence and self esteem is a major contributor to the problems and issues of many people.  Too often our society does not teach the principles of how to build and maintain good mental hygiene.  It is not something that you receive in your formal education years or even with a college degree.  Unfortunately we do not offer courses, education, workshops, or seminars on a regular basis for building self esteem.  We should because many individuals face this growing problem and it is not getting any better based on the evidence.

A person usually has to learn self confidence the hard way.  We learn from our parents, the people around us, our teachers, our family members, and from ourselves.  Sometimes those are not always the best people to teach us about self esteem.  Many times, these are the people who lower our self esteem and do not offer us the support and growth that we all need.  We must learn about the principles of self esteem from those who will educate us and add support to our journey for finding the answers.

There are many good books and articles about self confidence.  One of the best sources of understanding what it is and how to achieve it is through these publications.  It is a wise decision to take some time and read about self esteem as much as you can.  You will find it no where else.  These publications will offer some very specific ideas and suggestions how to develop the art of helping yourself feel confident about who you are and what you do.  You will be able to read about the  elements and principles of good mental hygiene and how to cope in a high technology society.  You will learn how to grow up quickly in our fast paced world and still manage to cope with the problems that are created by such a world.

The gift of self confidence can not be wrapped up in a box with a ribbon on it and a card saying, “Happy Self Confidence and Stay Well Adjusted”.  You have to learn that for yourself.  But there are tools that can make the learning process a little easier. The lack of self esteem is not a problem that we should take lightly.  It is a serious problem for many individuals.  It leads to many unhappy people, mental illness, and often times violent situations when people can no longer cope.  A dose of self confidence would make the world a better place to live for all of us.
