HELP: May I know what is the difference between personal and professional growth?

By Guest Author On January 9, 2010 Under Improve Your Life

Could anyone help me to make a distinction between personal and professional growth. and discuss each briefly?
I am writting my student internship report…..

Personal growth is the change in you as you mature and see life as it is .
Professional growth is acuired from education and learning in the field you choose .

Personal growth would be things you have achieved or experienced that helped you to grow as an individual—-like taking up yoga and becoming more flexible & less anixous as a result or working with animals and becoming more patient with all creatures as a result. Professional growth on the other hand would be classes, workshops, mentorships, extra roles taken on at work that improved your work skills or furthered you on the path to your eventual career goals.
